Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Care for customer inventory and perform safety-conscious duties.
• Prepare parts for processing by masking and grit blasting per instructions.
• Detail parts post processing according to specifications.
• Perform quality measurements and verifications.
• Accurately record quality and processing data.
• Support booth operations by maintaining tooling and staging supplies.
• Communicate priorities to production supervisor and technicians.
• Assist supervisor in developing processes to improve operations.
• Comply with environmental, health and safety policies.
• Keep work area neat and organized and wear PPE as required.
• Report safety events or near misses immediately.

Position Summary:

Based in North Clarendon, VT the Production Support Technician supports thermal spray booth operations by performing multiple processes that precede or follow coating operations.

Essential Job Functions (Duties and Responsibilities):

• This position is responsible for the care and treatment of our customer’s inventory and as such will perform duties in a safe and responsible manner to prevent customer loss or damage.
• Prepare part for processing by masking and grit blasting per instruction in job folder
• Detail part post processing according to specifications in job folder
• Perform all required quality measurement and verification duties.
• Accurately note all required quality and processing data in a timely manner
• Support booth operations by helping maintain tooling and staging supplies.
• Communicate regularly with production supervisor and thermal spray technicians to understand priorities to support production schedule.
• Assist supervisor in developing processes that will improve operations.
• Strictly observe all environmental, health and safety policy requirements
• Keep work area neat and orderly at all times
• Wear all required personal protective equipment when and where required
• Report safety events, unsafe conditions, near misses, etc. to Shift Lead immediately

Qualifications:

• This position must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements, therefore candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident Card Holder.
• Education – High School diploma
• Experience with detailed manual operations preferred
• Organized and accurate documentation skills
• Good communication skills with co-workers and management
• Self-motivated, able to make decisions based on given priorities
• Experience in a production environment preferred

Physical & Mental Demands:

• Must be able to work in a sitting or standing position for extended periods of time in an industrial environment.
• Manual dexterity to perform data entry functions
• Ability to bend, pull, stoop and reach to perform functions
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
• May be exposed to heat, fumes, noise, and humidity, etc.
• Must have the cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions
• Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing
• Visual acuity to read documents, computer screens, files, etc.
• Ability to hear in person and via phone

The hourly pay range for this position is $25 – $28.36 per hour.

Starting pay is determined based on experience, skills, and qualifications. This position is classified as non-exempt and is eligible for overtime pay in accordance with state and federal law.

This role is eligible for additional compensation, including a shift-differential.
