Job summary

Bodycote, the world’s largest provider of thermal processing services, seeks a Production Support Technician based in Vermont. The role supports thermal spray booth operations and handles prep and post-process tasks along with quality data recording.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, strong attention to detail, and experience in a production setting. ITAR compliance is required for U.S. citizenship or permanent residents. Overtime may apply.

• Collaborate with supervisors and technicians to plan production priorities.
• Develop processes to improve operations while following safety policies.
• Maintain a neat, safe work area and wear PPE as required.

Position Summary:

Based in North Clarendon, VT the Production Support Technician supports thermal spray booth operations by performing multiple processes that precede or follow coating operations.

Essential Job Functions (Duties and Responsibilities):

The primary duties consist of, but are not limited to the following.

• This position is responsible for the care and treatment of our customer’s inventory and as such will perform duties in a safe and responsible manner to prevent customer loss or damage.
• Prepare part for processing by masking and grit blasting per instruction in job folder
• Detail part post processing according to specifications in job folder
• Perform all required quality measurement and verification duties.
• Accurately note all required quality and processing data in a timely manner
• Support booth operations by helping maintain tooling and staging supplies.
• Communicate regularly with production supervisor and thermal spray technicians to understand priorities to support production schedule.
• Assist supervisor in developing processes that will improve operations.
• Strictly observe all environmental, health and safety policy requirements
  • Keep work area neat and orderly at all times
  • Wear all required personal protective equipment when and where required
  • Report safety events, unsafe conditions, near misses, etc. to Shift Lead immediately

• This position must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements, therefore candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident Card Holder.
• Education – High School diploma
• Experience with detailed manual operations preferred

• Self-motivated, able to make decisions based on given priorities
• Experience in a production environment preferred

The hourly pay range for this position is $25 – $28.36 per hour. Starting pay is determined based on experience, skills, and qualifications. This position is classified as non-exempt and is eligible for overtime pay in accordance with state and federal law.

This role is eligible for additional compensation, including a shift-differential.
