Joining Collins Aerospace offers an opportunity to be part of shaping the future of aerospace technology. We seek a Design Engineer to support manufacturing operations, providing engineering guidance and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment. Your role will include ensuring product quality, driving process improvements, and supporting engineering changes from concept to implementation. Collaboration across teams and a proactive approach to technical challenges are essential.

What You Will Do
  • Support production with engineering requirements and real-time problem resolution
  • Review discrepant material and perform design analysis for decision-making
  • Complete design analysis to support engineering changes
  • Write and manage engineering changes through configuration control
  • Support Low-Rate Initial Production (LRIP) and transition to steady production
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders on engineering projects
  • Review designs and drawings to improve products and processes
  • Perform engineering work with Test Equipment group to meet quality standards
  • Analyze test results against specifications and objectives
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree
  • U.S. citizenship required
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Knowledge of drafting practices, GD&T, CAD software
  • Experience with manufacturing processes, dynamics analysis, PLM software, MATLAB, Minitab, Excel Macros, and other computer skills
  • Knowledge of RCCA, Statistical Process Control, Lean Manufacturing
