Job summary

The Technology House in Streetsboro, OH is looking for a Production Support 1 to assist in daily production activities within the Injection Molding department. Responsibilities include operating equipment, performing inspections, and following safety protocols.

General Job Description

Production Support 1 is responsible for basic, daily production activities in the Injection Molding department and supporting other processes such as Carbon, Urethane, 3‑D Printing, or HP. The role includes installing inserts and basic finishing of parts, reporting defects, and maintaining workplace cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Operate injection molding equipment safely and effectively.
• Perform finishing tasks with basic hand tools as assigned.
• Count and package parts to ensure accuracy and preservation of product.
• Report and record defects and communicate with Floor Supervisor.
• Read, understand, and adhere to operational, quality, and safety policies.
• Ensure cleanliness of the work area.
• Visually inspect parts to requirements and detect errors.
• Communicate with quality control to verify part acceptance.
• Perform in‑process inspections.
• Install inserts as assigned.
• Read, understand, and adhere to traveler and blueprint instructions while learning how to read basic blueprints.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Injection mold experience preferred, but training will be provided.
• Basic computer skills and basic math skills.

Other Requirements

• Reliable transportation.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 pounds, bend into machinery, perform lifting, push/pull tasks, kneeling, stooping, and push buttons with fine motor skills.
• Experience reading blueprints preferred.
