Job summary

Winchester in Independence, Missouri is seeking a Production Support associate responsible for unloading, sorting, cleaning and separating incoming raw materials and components. You will operate equipment, use measuring devices, and inspect components as part of daily production tasks.

This role requires physical stamina, the ability to lift up to 100 pounds and push up to 1,100 pounds, and availability to work weekends and overtime.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Prior full-time manufacturing/industrial experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and good eye-hand coordination.
• Experience using measuring devices (tapes, gauges, rules, dials, scales).
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 100 lb; push up to 1,100 lb with equipment.
• Must be able to work weekends and overtime.

Title: Production SupportLocation: Independence, MOSalary: Wages starting at $22.04/hour with increase up to $24.75 after successful completion of 120-day probationary period.Schedule: 4-10's Monday through Thursday; Days or Eve. 3x12's Friday through Sunday; Days (depending on department availability)Website: Winchester.comFocus: The Production Support is responsible for unloading, sorting, cleaning and separating incoming raw and essential materials.

Production Support Essential Job Functions:

• Operate equipment to move materials, supplies, components and finished links to/from assigned areas.
• Using measuring devices such as tapes, gauges, rules, dials and weight scales.
• Visually inspects and/or feeds components while operating various automated presses and production machinery.

Production Support Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Prior full-time work experience preferred; manufacturing/industrial environment preferred.
• Attention to detail including eye-hand coordination.
• Experience with measuring devices as mentioned preferred.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods, lift/carry up to 100 pounds, and push up to 1,100 pounds with use of support device (hand carts, pallet jacks, gondolas, etc.).
• Ability and willingness to work Weekends, including overtime.

Location-Specific Requirements:

• This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
• This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.
• This position requires successful vetting for unescorted access in accordance with U.S. Army and Department of Defense access policies. The US Government does not allow non-US citizens on-site at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant. Therefore, to be considered in the hiring process, the candidate must be a US citizen.
