Job summary

Purem by Eberspächer is seeking an experienced EPT Supervisor in Louisville, KY to oversee shift-based production teams. The role focuses on ensuring safe, compliant operations, maintaining quality, and driving continuous improvement through Lean/Sigma methodologies.

You will lead on-shift supervisors, coordinate with support departments, and ensure adherence to production plans while coaching staff and promoting Eberspächer core values.

Responsibilities

• Provides EPT Supervision on off shifts (2nd, 3rd or 1st shift).
• Leads and executes SQCDP performance of the assigned EPTs.
• Maintains compliance with Group HSE standards and safety policies.
• Ensures proper handovers and on-the-floor presence for training and plan vs. actual checks.
• Uses SAP systems and supports full SAP utilization.
• Develops production schedules based on forecasts and load/capacity analysis.
• Ensures product and process quality are compliant to standards.
• Drives Lean/Sigma continuous improvement culture.
• Mentors and coaches Team Leaders and Supervisors on shift.

Essential Accountabilities:

The position incumbent ensures, that

• Provides EPT Supervision on off shifts (2nd, 3rd or 1st shift).
• Supports and promotes ENA Core Values, Safety and Quality Policy.
• Adherence of policies and procedures; ensures discipline, consistency and rules.
• Lead and execute SQCDP performance of the assigned EPTs.
• Ensure that working conditions are fully compliant with Group HSE standards.
• Challenge rigorously any non-conformance.
• Ensure the respect of standardized work methods through process confirmation and go, look, see.
• Permanent presence on the shop-floor, e.g. to assure appropriate shift handovers, to train/coach EPT Team Leaders, to confirm plan vs. actual at short intervals, to assure adherence to standards, to ensure escalation process is being followed to answer questions or address problems.
• Communicates with support departments. Generates action plans, checks the progress, and escalates recurring problems.
• Communicates with internal customers / other supervisors in the value stream in order to fulfill needs of internal customer.
• Assure appropriate headcount in line with efficiency and on time delivery targets.
• Depending on the problem he/she actively leads or participates in the Quick Problem Solving (QPS) process.
• Ensures problem is solved to root cause.
• Ensure proper usage of the EPT board and check if they are complete, accurate and up-to-date.
• Ensure “high quality” actions are captured and completed in line with plan.
• Ensure daily EPT Top 5 meeting is effective and adding value.
• Set the tone of a healthy dissatisfaction with the status quo to role model and demand continuous improvement of work processes and work environment
• Responsible for safety and enforcement of safety policies for the shift.
• Maintenance of a fair and equitable workplace where people are treated with dignity and respect.
• Responsible for shift productivity, quality and scrap reduction effort.
• Training / Mentoring / Coaching personnel on shift, which include Team Leaders and Supervisors.
• Schedule and prioritize maintenance resources for the shift.
• Communication with previous and following shifts.
• Support and promote full SAP systems utilization.
• Development of production schedules based upon committed forecasts, customer commitments and validated load/capacity analysis.
• Assure that product and process quality is compliant to internal, industry and customer quality standards.
• Provide the direction and leadership to develop and promote a Lean/Sigma continuous improvement culture within the focus factory.
• Additional duties as assigned by management.

Secondary Accountabilities:

The position incumbent ensures, that

• Conduct all business related activities for, and on the behalf of, Eberspaecher within the limits of applicable local, state, and federal legal requirements.
• Provide support to, and compliance with, all local and corporate Eberspaecher Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures and other HSE related requirements.
• Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and follows all EETAM polices related to IATF 16949 and ISO 14001; looks for way to improve and promote quality.
• Other duties as assigned.
