Job summary

ALLNEX in Wallingford, CT is seeking a Production Supervisor to manage safe and efficient day-to-day operations in designated production areas. You will supervise group leaders and operators, plan and prioritize daily tasks to meet schedule and quality targets.

The ideal candidate has leadership experience in manufacturing, strong English communication, and flexibility for 2nd/3rd shifts and occasional weekends.

Qualifications

• 5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment (chemicals preferred).
• Fluent English (reading, writing and speaking) required.
• Available to work 2nd and 3rd shifts and weekends on occasions.
• Bachelor's degree in science or business preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe operation of production processes and maintain safety for employees at all times.
• Coordinate with ISO/QMS and SHE management systems compliance.
• Communicate priorities to group leaders and operators; assign daily tasks.
• Oversee administrative tasks such as performance reviews, overtime, batch and incident reports.
• Coordinate and track employee training and validate competencies.
• Prioritize workload to meet production supply plans and deadlines.
• Interact with stakeholders to ensure daily effective communication and outcomes.
• Troubleshoot production issues to maintain equipment and labor efficiency.

You'll supervise group leaders and production operators, plan and prioritize daily operations to ensure operations run efficiently and according to schedule.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safe operation of all production processes and that employees are working safely at all times.
• Support and comply with all requirements of ISO/QMS and SHE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM.
• Communicate production priorities to group leaders and operators. Assign daily tasks as needed.
• Administrative duties and tasks such as employee management, coaching, performance reviews, overtime assignments as necessary, shift reports, batch reports, maintenancework orders, incident reports, etc.
• Coordinateandmaintainemployee training activities and ensure all training requirements are met. Validate employee competencies.
• Prioritizeworkloadsrequirements to meet production supply plan demands.
• Interactwithstakeholderstoensure effective communication and outcome on a daily basis.
• Troubleshoot process upsets and production issues to ensure the efficient utilization of equipment, raw materials, and labor to meet production standards. Resolve problems in the production area as necessary.

Required skills and experience

• 5 years of previous experience in leadership roles in a manufacturing environment, within chemicals are preferred.
• Experience in a union environment is a plus.
• Availableto work 2nd and 3rd shifts and weekends on occasions.
• Fluent English (reading, writing and speaking) is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science or Business field preferred.
