Job summary

Utz Quality Foods, LLC seeks a Production Supervisor to lead multiple production lines at the Hanover, PA facility. This hands-on leadership role oversees packaging, packing and finished product handling to ensure safe, efficient operations.

You’ll drive performance with the Production Manager and help develop the team on a 6:00 PM–6:00 AM shift. You will supervise 3 lines, support month-end counts, monitor data in ERP, and strive for continuous improvement while maintaining quality and food

Qualifications

• Analytical, math and reading skills required.
• Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook proficiency required.
• Leadership and management to direct packaging departments and interface with other teams.
• Interpersonal and supervisory abilities to lead others.
• Knowledge of packaging and processing operations for standby support.
• Moderate lifting and occasional skid pulling.
• Packaging machinery knowledge is preferred.
• Post high school education is a plus though not required.
• Strong public speaking and presentation skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises 3 production lines within Plant 5 Repack, including shipping, receiving and cardboard sorting.
• Assists in month-end inventory counting.
• Executes production demands efficiently while upholding quality and safety standards.
• Ensures production of quality product by meeting processing and packaging standards.
• Monitors and ensures data integrity in the ERP system.
• Schedules personnel to meet daily production requirements.
• Uses ERP/work orders and tracks preventative maintenance tasks.
• Monitors fryer efficiencies, quality checks and downtime (RedZone).
• Drives continuous improvement via standard work, 5S and problem solving.
• Participates in hiring, onboarding, training and evaluation of department staff.

Utz Quality Foods is looking for a motivated Production Supervisor to join our team at our 900 High Street manufacturing facility in Hanover, PA.In this hands-on leadership role, you'll oversee production lines, leading teams across packaging, packing, and finished product handling to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality operations. If you're a strong communicator who enjoys developing people, solving problems, and keeping production running smoothly, we'd love to hear from you.

Schedule:

• Monday–Thursday | 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
• Flexibility is required to support production needs during peak periods.

As a Production Supervisor, you'll work closely with the Production Manager to drive performance, support your team, and help deliver the quality products that have made Utz a trusted brand for generations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervises 3 production lines within the Plant 5 Repack facility in its entirety as well as shipping, receiving and cardboard sorting operations.
• Assists in the month end inventory counting.
• Executes production demands in the most efficient manner while maintaining quality/safety standards.
• Ensures production of quality product by ensuring all processing/packaging standards are upheld.
• Integral to executing and monitoring tasks to maintain data integrity/accuracy in ERP data system.
• Schedules personnel in an efficient manner in order to meet the daily production requirements.
• Uses EAM to enter work orders and track preventative maintenance tasks.
• Monitors and analyzes RedZone for fryer efficiencies, quality checks, and downtime.
• Drives continuous improvement through standard work, 5S, and problem-solving to enhance operational performance.
• Executes each cycle-end inventory counting with Finance Personnel.
• Involved in all hiring, on-boarding, training and evaluation of his department.
• Monitors and analyzes labor hours and crew size needed to efficiently run production lines.
• Forklift, Hi-Reach and Chemical Certifications are mandatory.
• Evaluates individual performance and trains personnel to ensure standards are met.
• Responsible to follow safety rules and address unsafe equipment and practices.
• Follows food safety practices and all applicable requirements of the SQF system.
• Must adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices.

Requirements

• Requires analytical, math and reading skills.
