Responsibilities include:

  1. Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications and direct setup and adjustment of equipment.
  2. Study production schedules and estimate worker hours required for completion.
  3. Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations.
  4. Communicate specifications, instructions, and duties to production workers.
  5. Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
  6. Suggest changes in working conditions and equipment use to increase efficiency.
  7. Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving them.
  8. Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve goals.
  9. Maintain time and production records.
  10. Estimate, requisition, and inspect materials.
  11. Perform activities of supervised workers.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or 6 months to 1-year related experience/training.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business and technical documents.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Effective presentation and communication skills.
  • Mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and interpretation of graphs.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to interpret instructions in various formats.
