Job summary

The Chefs' Warehouse in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead daily production activities and a team of production staff. You will plan workloads, enforce policies, and drive improvements in methods, equipment, and working conditions.

You will supervise training, attendance, and compliance with HACCP/SQF requirements while ensuring safety, quality, and cost controls across the shift.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of work experience in food service production operations.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of GFSI food safety standards (SQF preferred).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the processing area.
• Oversee cleaning, preparation and packaging of meat according to specifications.
• Maintain food safety standards and quality guidelines.

Position Summary:

The Production Supervisor position is responsible for day-to-day supervision and leadership of production employees and operations. This position plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.

What you’ll do:

• Manage the daily operations of the processing area.
• Cleaning, preparation and packaging of meat according to the proper specifications.
• Maintain food safety standards and quality guidelines
• Facilitate all areas of people/document management such as training, corrective actions, attendance, HACCP/SQF documentation and other plant policies.
• Ensure sanitation standards are met as it pertains to the daily operations of the processing area.
• Develop hourly employees by providing leadership, direction, and support to assure completion of the production schedule while maintaining adherence to safety, quality, and cost considerations.
• Responsible for shift start up and shutdown.
• Ensure efficient scheduling and production of all orders.
• Maintain excellent communication with all levels of the organization to ensure the order-fill process.

About you:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of work experience in food service production operations required.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Working knowledge of GFSI compliant food safety standards, preferably SQF.
• Proficient in Microsoft office applications.
