JOB DESCRIPTION:

Production Supervisor *** Poultry Industry

1st and 2nd Shift Available

Pay: $55,000-$60,000 DOE

Location: Fredericksburg, PA 17026

Basic Purpose

Responsible for all activities involved in the assigned department, including Tray Pack, Debone, Processing, Whole Bird Packaging, evisceration, and others. Ensures a safe, well-organized, efficient operation with minimal downtime; adheres to company standards, customer specifications, and quality standards; complies with HACCP Plan and maintains records; and trains staff according to policies and regulations.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Coordinate line work to meet production orders, maintain quality standards, and optimize resource utilization.
• Report production data such as yields, efficiencies, and labor utilization.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, including lean manufacturing and TQM.
• Ensure compliance with GMP standards, customer specifications, HACCP, and safety regulations.
• Maintain equipment and work areas, coordinating with maintenance and management.
• Establish relationships with management and USDA representatives.
• Stay updated on poultry processing technologies.
• Ensure compliance with USDA, OSHA, EEO, and other regulations.
• Perform additional duties to support business objectives.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Mentor and motivate 25-50 team members, providing training and development.
• Communicate performance standards, recognize achievements, and address issues.
• Manage staffing, attendance, and team meetings.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Associate degree in relevant field or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years supervisory experience, preferably in poultry production.
• Flexibility to work changing shifts.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
