Job Description


JOB SUMMARY


Directs and coordinates the processing of components and materials and the assembling of products for ICC by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties as assigned.



  • Supervises and coordinates the daily activities and operations of the shift.

  • Assists in the interview and hiring of new employees.

  • Trains or ensures that employees are properly trained for their specific roles.

  • Coordinates job rotation.

  • Reviews production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates to plan department operations.

  • Executes production plans, establishing priorities and sequences for picking components and assembling products.

  • Prepares operational schedules and coordinating assembly activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications.

  • Reviews production and operating reports and assists with operational and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.

  • Assists in developing or revising standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards.

  • Identifies and resolves workplace problems, including tardiness or absenteeism.

  • Complies with all ICC Policies.

  • Supports continuous improvement through training and process improvement.

  • Complies with all applicable elements of ICC Quality Management System.


Salary Range
$25/hr - $27/hr
Requirements

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:



  • College degree preferred and/or in lieu of degree minimum 3 years' experience in the production lead field.

  • Proven experience as a Production Lead or similar role.


SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:



  • Must be a US Citizen due to Naval Contractual Agreements.

  • Knowledge of ISO9000 or equivalent Quality Management Standard. AS9100 a plus.

  • Must be organized and possess leadership abilities.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Self-motivated with results-driven approach.

  • Problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent time management skills.

  • Ability to multitask.

  • Must have knowledge of health and safety regulations.

  • Understanding of ICC product offerings.

  • Knowledge of ICC value-added product assembly techniques, processes, and applications.

  • Basic understanding of ICC value-added product.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:


While performing the duties of this job, the employee must have the ability to communicate orally with management, peers, subordinates, employees, and contractors. Regular use of a variety of measuring tools, the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential. Standing or sitting for extended periods is common. Hearing and vision within normal ranges is important for conversations, to receive ordinary information.


Heavy lifting is not expected. Exertion of up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally is required. Good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment such as computer terminals, calculator, copiers, or measuring tools is required. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close visual acuity to perform activities such as: inspecting manufactured parts (with and without magnification), preparing/analyzing data and figures; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. Distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus and ability to distinguish colors and color variation of physical parts and components, and in documentation such as work instructions and engineering drawings.



WORKING CONDITIONS:


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.


The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
