Job summary

Altium Packaging, Sparta, TN, seeks an experienced production supervisor to direct day-to-day manufacturing activities and lead a team in a packaging solutions environment. You will manage resources, drive safety and quality improvements, and ensure timely delivery while championing company guiding principles.

The role requires 3 years in manufacturing with at least 1 year in supervision, strong machinery knowledge, and comfort with union environments.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
• High level knowledge of machinery and production systems.
• AS degree preferred.
• Blow or Injection Mold experience is a plus.
• Understanding of a union environment is preferred.
• Computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct and monitor activities of production personnel and manage resources in manufacturing of packaging solutions.
• Lead by applying guiding principles and safety culture, ensuring compliance with policies and laws.
• Drive process improvement, safety, quality, production and financial results.
• Foster morale, employee engagement and retention; focus on meeting customer specifications and timely delivery.
• Manage performance cycle: interviewing, training, advancement, coaching and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Serve as change agent, adapt to business changes and learn new skills while maintaining documentation.
• Provide instruction and learning resources and act as a process expert in production planning, scheduling and PM actions.
