We’re currently hiring a Production Supervisor to join our Plover Appetizer team. In this hands-on role, you won’t just be supervising, you’ll be working alongside your team to ensure production runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently. What you’ll be responsible for.
As a Production Supervisor at our Plover Appetizer location, you’ll play a key role in keeping operations on track, from coaching frontline teams to optimizing shift performance and maintaining safety and quality standards. Here’s what you’ll take on:
Lead the line: Supervise production employees to ensure daily targets are met while maintaining food safety, quality, and compliance standards.
Plan and prioritize: Own the Plan for the Day and ensure smooth transitions across shifts, including hand-offs, resource planning, and communication.
Own direction setting: Drive the Daily Direction Setting (DDS) process and lead initiatives like Centerline (CIL) tracking and improvement planning.
Keep us compliant: Monitor adherence to GMPs, food safety protocols, and quality specifications, including all USDA, FDA, and internal standards.
Problem solve in real-time: Identify bottlenecks or equipment issues and take proactive measures to maintain production flow.
Support and develop your team: Organize and assign work, resolve personnel issues, and support employee development through feedback and example.
Coach with intention: Build strong working relationships by learning how each team member communicates, providing clear guidance, and mentoring employees to help them grow personally and professionally.
Maintain documentation: Ensure accurate completion of daily manufacturing reports and quality control paperwork.
Champion safety: Ensure proper safety protocols are followed, including lockout/tagout, lifting techniques, and proper use of PPE.
Promote continuous improvement: Look for ways to improve workflow, boost efficiency, and optimize line performance in collaboration with your crew.

Leadership experience: 2+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting; food manufacturing is definitely a bonus.
Education matters: High school diploma or GED required; a four-year degree or five years of production experience preferred.
Adaptable and resourceful: Able to adjust quickly to changing production demands and reallocate resources on the fly.
Clear communicator: Skilled at leading with empathy and clarity, building trust through open communication, getting to know each team member’s style, and creating a supportive environment where people feel heard and valued.
Tech ready: Comfortable using standard computer systems and production documentation tools.
Organized and detail-oriented: Skilled at prioritizing, tracking performance, and ensuring documentation is accurate and complete.
Math skills: Solid grasp of basic math and how it applies to production planning and problem-solving.
Troubleshooting mindset: Able to quickly diagnose and resolve issues on the floor, from people to processes.
Safety-first approach: Committed to maintaining a safe work environment and upholding food quality standards at all times.
Role particulars.
This role is designed for someone who’s ready to lead from the floor, supporting a team, solving problems, and ensuring operations run smoothly. Here’s what to expect:
Work schedule: 12-hour shifts from 6PM – 6AM on a 2-2-3 rotation, offering both consistency and built-in days off.
Work environment: Fast-paced, hands-on, and physically active; this includes lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and working in temperature-controlled environments.
PPE required: Must wear personal protective equipment, including proper footwear and gear, as outlined by safety guidelines.
Facility expectations: Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and maintain clean, safe work areas.
Authority to act: All employees are empowered to question or refuse unsafe work directives and are expected to take appropriate action to ensure personal and team safety.

Compensation Package:$65,500.00-$87,400.00 USD annually + bonuseligibility
The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education/training, and other organizational needs.
