PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR - NIGHTS 3pm-1am

Dessert Holdings is looking for a Production Supervisor to join our growing team in Humble, TX. The Production Supervisor reports to the Production Manager and is directly responsible for the day-to-day production and/or packaging operations. This person will be responsible for achieving safety, quality, delivery, cost, and motivational objectives (SQDCM) through both individual and team contributions and collaboration with fellow team members. They will continuously monitor line performance, quality, costs, and safety to ensure standards are met, initiating corrective and preventive actions when needed. The Production Supervisor provides leadership, development, and support to direct reports through empowerment, teamwork, and on-the-job assignments. They will lead and contribute to ongoing Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Operation of Production and/or Packaging Lines
  2. Manage workflow by monitoring process steps; setting variables; observing control points and equipment.
  3. Develop and apply CI and Lean Manufacturing tools to understand problems and improve performance.
  4. Lead and contribute to CI initiatives as Team Leader and Team Member.
  5. Build cross-functional and shift-to-shift collaborative relationships to transfer knowledge and enhance performance.
  6. Provide leadership, supervision, and development to direct reports, including coaching, feedback, and performance management.
  7. Achieve manufacturing objectives by communicating expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising results.
  8. Develop individual and team capabilities through training, coaching, and growth opportunities.
  9. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and industry standards, maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
  10. Monitor and maintain compliance with regulatory and company safety and food safety requirements.
  11. Manage budgets for operations, maintenance, repairs, and improvements.
  12. Plan and oversee resource allocation, expenses, and cost control.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • 3-5+ years in industrial food manufacturing.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Experience with CI and Lean Manufacturing tools.
  • Analytical, troubleshooting, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse groups.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and basic math.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including extended hours, weekends, and holidays.
