Job summary

Gehl-Food- is hiring a Production Supervisor for the Night Shift to lead manufacturing operations in a fast-paced aseptic environment. You will oversee production teams, schedules, safety, quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement while building a high-performance culture.

The role requires 5+ years of manufacturing experience, 2+ years in supervision, and strong leadership, coaching, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably in food or aseptic settings.
• 2+ years in supervisory or team-lead roles.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of aseptic processes and equipment.
• Experience with ERP/HMI systems and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead production employees and build a high‑performing team.
• Coordinate production schedules, startups, shutdowns and changeovers.
• Monitor output, product quality, OEE, and efficiency.
• Drive continuous improvement and resolve issues on the line.
• Lead shift huddles and ensure clear cross‑team communication.
• Enforce Safety, Quality, GMP, and company standards.
• Participate in safety and quality audits and corrective actions.
• Investigate accidents and near‑misses.
• Support training, development, and performance management.
• Maintain technical knowledge of production equipment and aseptic processes.

Position Overview

• Monitor workflow, output, product quality, OEE, and efficiency
• Drive continuous improvement and resolve production issues
• Lead shift huddles and ensure effective communication across teams
• Promote and enforce Safety, Quality, GMP, GFSI, and company standards
• Participate in safety and quality audits and corrective actions
• Conduct accident and near-miss investigations
• Support employee training, development, performance management, and engagement
• Maintain strong technical knowledge of production equipment and aseptic processes

Requirements

What You’ll Need

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably food, process, high-speed packaging, or Form-Fill-Seal
• 2+ years of supervisory, management, or team-lead experience
• Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of aseptic processes/equipment
• Experience with Microsoft Office and ERP/HMI systems
• Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment

Strongly Preferred

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Business, or related field
• Demonstrated success driving process improvements and operational efficiencies
• Strong collaboration and influencing skills
