Night Shift Supervisor

About The Job

Direct shift employees at the production facility, with the current shift from 5:45 pm to 6 am. This position is a working supervisor.

Essential Functions

• Achieve production targets for volume processed, material recovery, and quality by directing staff to perform work duties. Train new staff as needed.
• Manage the performance of the production employees under direct supervision, providing constructive feedback to improve performance and attendance.
• Monitor and accurately record shift production metrics daily. Enter this information into existing spreadsheets and IT systems for accurate reporting.
• Function as maintenance and backup to equipment operators.
• Diagnose issues and determine if unplanned repairs can be performed internally or require outside help.
• Ensure shift compliance with safety, environmental, landfill, internal audit, dust mitigation, and stormwater policies and procedures.
• Must be flexible with hours worked to meet production deadlines.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned or directed.

About You

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3-5 years of recent and relevant experience supervising staff of similar size in an industrial manufacturing or processing environment.
• Familiarity with welding, mechanical, and simple electrical maintenance.
• Knowledge of maintenance management to effectively direct maintenance employees.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel for communication and tracking information.
• Valid driver’s license required.
