Job Responsibilities:

The Production Supervisor is responsible for allocating staffing resources to support planned production levels, following policies and procedures. They manage production work areas (Fab or Assembly) and supervise hourly and salary team members to achieve company goals.

Essential Functions:

Under the direction of the Production Manager, the supervisor assists with the following responsibilities:

1. Safety: Ensure employee safety by using safety devices, wearing proper PPE, and following safety rules and policies. Report all accidents or near misses within 24 hours and participate in investigations. Ensure attendance at safety training.
2. Supervision and Leadership: Supervise hourly and salary employees, manage time sheets, vacation schedules, and payroll sign-offs. Ensure compliance with company policies. Conduct daily shift meetings. Manage staffing, output, and productivity. Motivate and set expectations for personnel. Maintain 5S initiatives. Act as supervisor on opposite shifts when needed. Ensure training and tools are provided, oversee training documentation, and update work instructions and guides. Lead cross-training initiatives.
3. Operations: Teach inventory control, participate in process improvements, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement activities. Support shift end reports and implement countermeasures. Collaborate with other supervisors to understand processes. Plan and execute production schedules, monitor quality, and oversee process and material usage. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or production environment.
• Leadership skills required; supervisory experience preferred.
• Results-oriented with analytical skills, capable of planning and prioritizing.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and lead a team.
• Computer literacy with Windows-based software.

Physical Demands:

• Standing and walking for extended periods.
• Computer work.
• Occasional lifting, bending, twisting, pushing, and pulling.

Environmental Conditions:

• Exposure to manufacturing and warehouse environments.
