TITLE: Production Supervisor - Night Shift
REPORTS TO: Plant Director
SUMMARY
Responsible for overseeing the production process, ensuring that all safety and quality standards are met, and managing a team of production workers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Train and coach production workers to ensure they are performing their duties effectively and efficiently
- Coordinate and manage the production process to ensure that all production targets are met, are on time and to the required quality standards
- Ensure that all production equipment is maintained and in good working order
- Ensure that all safety procedures are followed, and that the production area is kept clean and organized
- Monitor and report on production metrics, including productivity, quality, and waste
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
- Ensure that all production workers are following established procedures and protocols
- Responsible for processing all production workers timecards for payroll processing.
- Responsible for holding team accountable. Documenting writeups, reviews, and teams attendance.
- Responsible for completing food safety audits with the quality control team.
- Conducts team member safety audits.
- Reports breakdowns to maintenance and the plant manager in accordance to standards.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND ABILITIES- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a production environment
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to follow established procedures and protocols
- Ability to be self-motivated and take initiative.
- Ability to operate, clean and maintain all equipment required in job.
- Ability to maintain a neat and clean appearance and convey self-confidence.
- Ability to exhibit and use proper manners and language
- Knowledge of production processes and equipment
- Ability to identify areas of improvement and implement changes
- Strong problem-solving skills
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements.- Work in a manufacturing environment that can be noisy and require working with loud machinery.
- Workers are required to wear hair nets, gloves and aprons for food safety purposes.
- Position will require working in a slippery, cold, wet, refrigerated, or humid environment with an average temperature of below 40 Degrees consistently for entire shift.
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job, including bending, reaching, stooping, twisting, lifting, standing, walking, repetitive motion and the use of heavy machinery.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to frequent changes that occur on the production line.
- Lifting arms above the head is required
- Manual Dexterity to cut and chop foods and perform other related tasks.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs individually or follow policy and procedure team lift over 50lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and instructions.
- Must follow best in class manufacturing practices
Plant and Employee Safety- No piercings or jewelry is allowed on the manufacturing floor
- Safety Processes and protocol must be followed at all times
- The safety of ergonomics and lifting practices must be followed at all times.
- Any injury must be reported to management immediately
- Dedicated non-Slip shoes must be worn at all times in the plant
- All Safety Training must be completed within the determined deadline
- Lock Out Tag Out processes must be followed at all times
- The use of provided GMP’s and PPE must be worn before entering the production floor
- examples include: Cut gloves, Safety Glasses, Hairnet, Beard nets, Gloves, and Smocks.
- The correct color-coded Smocks must be worn in the identified area of the plant
- Blue – RAW Only
- White – General Production Floor
