Job Summary:The Production Supervisor for the New Products Department will oversee the daily operations of the department, ensuring that production goals are met efficiently and safely. This role involves managing a team of production workers, coordinating with other departments, and implementing process improvements to support the successful launch of new products and other large castings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead a team of six or more production workers across two shifts in the New Products Department.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily production activities to meet production targets and deadlines.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Monitor production processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and quality assurance teams to resolve production issues.
  • Train and develop team members to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Maintain accurate production records and reports.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new production processes and technologies.
  • Communicate effectively with the Plant Manager and other department heads.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a production supervisory role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of production processes, quality control, and safety standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
