Sanders Candy, a Second Nature Brands unit in Clinton Township, MI, seeks a Production Supervisor to oversee sea salt caramel production on the first shift. You will lead and train staff, ensure safety, quality, and production schedules, and maintain GMP/OSHA compliance.

The role requires 2 years of supervisory experience in food manufacturing, strong communication and teamwork, and a focus on safety and continuous improvement. Weekend overtime may be required.

Salary Range: $70,000.00 To $75,000.00 Annually

The position of Production Supervisor at Sanders Candy in Clinton Township, MI, entails the crucial task of overseeing the operations of production of our famous sea salt caramels, during first shift. This role plays a vital part in fulfilling our overarching vision of making things better by nourishing people and nature.

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

• Lead and train manufacturing employees, ensuring safe operations, and meeting production schedules.
• Availability to work 6:30a - 3:30p Monday - Friday, Saturdays as needed for overtime
• Optimize productivity by assigning personnel and machines effectively.
• Maintain compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality policies.
• Foster an inclusive and respectful team environment, promoting employee engagement.
• Resolve issues and implement corrective measures when necessary.
• Build strong customer and supplier relationships across all levels of the organization.
• Follow all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), Q&FS (Quality & Food Safety), and OSHA Safety policies.
• Maintain clean and safe work area.
• Preform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• High School Education or equivalent.
• 2 years of supervisory experience in a food manufacturing setting.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Exceptional interpersonal and teamwork abilities
• Strong reasoning and decision-making skills for the production floor

Preferred Skills:

• Food manufacturing experience
• Knowledge of FDA and OSHA requirements is a plus.

Work Environment:

• While performing the duties of this job, you will regularly work near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment can be high and employee may be required to wear personal protective equipment. This is an indoor food manufacturing setting.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, may occasionally life and/or move up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, you will be regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and use your hands to control computerized equipment and machinery.
