Job summary

U.S. Silica in Lovelock, NV is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead the hourly workforce and direct daily plant operations. You will plan and schedule production and mining activities to meet goals while controlling costs and maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Strong industrial or manufacturing background required.
• 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing, mining, mineral processing, or related industrial environment.
• Experience with mineral processing, slurry pumping systems, rotating equipment, mechanical systems and troubleshooting, Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.
• Strong leadership, planning, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct the hourly operations workforce under the Plant Manager.
• Supervise safe and efficient operation of mine and processing plant; meet production goals.
• Plan and schedule production and mining activities; coordinate downtime with maintenance.
• Monitor productivity and troubleshoot operational issues; identify bottlenecks and improve efficiency.
• Work with maintenance to ensure preventive maintenance and equipment performance.
• Track performance and prepare reports for management; assign work based on workload.
• Ensure safety training and compliance with MSHA regulations; promote safety policies.
• Support daily order processing and COAs; ensure products meet customer quality specs.
