Responsibilities

BHJ USA, LLC. is a leading supplier of fresh/frozen meat blends to both the wet and dry pet food industries. Under the direction of the Plant Manager or Production Manager, the supervisor is responsible for general supervision of the shift to achieve production objectives by motivating staff in processing raw materials for the pet food, pharmaceutical, and feed industries. Key tasks include:

  • Coordinate and supervise plant production, organize and assign work, instruct, guide, and assist employees to meet production and quality goals.
  • Ensure accurate documentation related to production, shipping & receiving, safety, and sanitation.
  • Lead employee training and development, manage performance, and foster a successful work environment.
  • Organize and coordinate production efficiently.
  • Ensure product quality complies with specifications and standards for shipping, receiving, and production.
  • Learn and perform staff job tasks during their absence or workload peaks.
  • Promote and support a safety-focused culture, adhere to safety guidelines and PPE requirements.
  • Support, enforce, and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Follow attendance guidelines.
Skills & Qualifications

High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of experience or equivalent education/experience. Skills include:

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
  • Service-oriented attitude.
  • Teamwork and respectful interaction with coworkers.
  • Experience in leading and developing people.
  • Experience in meat processing industry is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to obtain forklift and pallet jack certification.
