We are seeking a qualified candidate to join our team as a Production Supervisor for the midnight shift at our Leer South (Wolf Run Mining, LLC) facility in Philippi, West Virginia. Overall Job Purpose:

Provide leadership and direction to hourly employees, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of underground coal mining equipment.

Responsibilities Include:

1. Implement safety and environmental policies, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
2. Respond effectively to changing conditions within the mine.
3. Plan, organize, and coordinate mining and utility projects with the shift foreman.
4. Supervise and guide hourly employees.
5. Set goals, plan, train, and evaluate performance; communicate policies and procedures.
6. Instruct employees on task performance and hazard awareness.
7. Perform pre-shift inspections and safety checks.
8. Coordinate with engineering, maintenance, and other departments to maintain safety and efficiency.
9. Maintain records related to mine functions.
10. Monitor supplies to prevent loss and damage.
11. Communicate operational status and safety issues to management and other shifts.
12. Conduct pre-shift checks and safety meetings.
13. Maintain reliability, responsibility, and dependability in fulfilling obligations.

Minimum Skills, Education, and Experience:

• High School diploma or GED
• At least 5 years of coal mining experience, including 2 years in a supervisory role
• West Virginia Mine Foreman's certification
• Availability for overtime, weekends, and holidays
• Strong safety and attendance record
• Understanding of mining concepts and safety strategies
• Excellent communication skills
• Computer proficiency
• Knowledge of mining laws and practices

Preferred Qualifications:

• Supervisory or management experience
• EMT certification
