Job summary

Silgan Closures, a global leader in sustainable packaging, is hiring a Manufacturing Production Supervisor in Richmond, IN to support and manage employees at our fast-paced facility. The role focuses on safety, quality and line efficiency on the production floor.

You will supervise, coach and mentor staff, ensure product quality and food safety compliance, and apply SPC/SOP standards while maximizing output. This position requires manufacturing leadership and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude is highly desirable.
• 1–3 years of production supervisory experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support employees in the production of metal closures.
• Ensure product quality, food safety compliance, and a strong safety culture.
• Learn and apply SPC principles, SOPs, and productivity standards.
• Manage equipment and production flow to maximize efficiency.
• Develop, mentor, and assign work to employees while maintaining labor contract compliance.
• Foster a positive workplace and lead with effective communication.
