Job summary

Dauch is seeking a Production Supervisor for Machining on the 3rd shift in Newton, NC. This onsite role focuses on meeting KPI targets through effective manpower planning, scheduling, and coaching of the production team to improve quality and throughput.

Responsibilities include leading floor leadership, enforcing EHS and Quality policies, and guiding continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen and root-cause analysis.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 4 years of relevant manufacturing or engineering experience.
• Willing to work 3rd shift, overtime, and weekends as required.
• Onsite manufacturing environment in Newton, NC.

Responsibilities

• Supervise production associates, including training, scheduling, and performance coaching.
• Create production schedules and monitor KPI attainment.
• Enforce Environmental, Health, Safety and Quality policies.
• Walk the factory floor with leaders to address safety, quality, and productivity issues.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen and root-cause analysis.
• Assist with TPM, equipment maintenance, and process troubleshooting.
• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 procedures.

Apply today!**Job Description:*** Supervises production associate outcomes by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining associates; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures.* Delivers KPI’s, business strategy, and people strategy in area(s) of responsibility. Creates and maintains a master strategic plan to accomplish KPI’s.* Communicates and enforces Environmental, Health, Safety and Quality policies and procedures.* Maintains a physical presence on the floor; walks the floor with incoming/outgoing Group Leaders, Cross Functional Engineers, and Team Leaders to address safety, quality, and productivity issues.* Completes leadership standard work and checklists.* Reviews production priorities with Team Leaders, audits Team Leader execution of startup meetings at PVD boards and supports where needed.* Ensures TPM is completed; gathers and enters production data; check and initial LTA data throughout value stream.* Assists the team, engineering, other processes, and management to ensure customer and business requirements are met.* Expedites production, prototype and PPAP components.* Drives continuous improvement cross-functionally and in production, leading Kaizen events and 5-why/Practical Problem-Solving projects root cause elimination.* Troubleshoots equipment and processes within trained skillset and according to policy.* Ensures conformance to IATF 16949 procedures and work instructions.* Assists in facilitation of corrective actions related to internal issues/customer complaints.
