Overview

The salary range for this position is $68,400 to $72,200, depending on experience and qualifications.

Summary

Under the direction of the Manager, the Supervisor will provide leadership to the team and assist with supervision of employees across different areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Commit to and adhere to Daybreak Foods' animal welfare standards
• Supervise daily staff operations
• Monitor and ensure the accuracy of daily chore sheets
• Oversee environmental controls in barns and complexes, implementing corrective actions as needed
• Ensure proper functioning and maintenance of equipment
• Follow safety practices and procedures diligently
• Assist with animal welfare programs and documentation for audits
• Respond to 24-hour alarm calls and address issues promptly
• Ensure comprehensive employee training
• Optimize stakeholder activities during work hours
• Provide coaching and performance evaluations
• Manage bird moves and generate weekly reports
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• Preferably an Associate degree in a related field (e.g., Agriculture, Business)
• Or 5+ years of experience in the poultry industry
• 3-5 years in poultry production preferred
• 1-3 years in leadership roles
• Basic Preventive Maintenance experience is a plus

Skills and Abilities

• Proficiency in English; bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• Ability to train, motivate, and retain staff
• Effective coaching, mentoring, and disciplinary skills
• Results-oriented with good communication skills
• Knowledge of safety practices and troubleshooting electrical/mechanical issues
• Computer literacy in Windows-based systems
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and interact with diverse backgrounds

Physical and Work Environment

Stand, walk, and lift frequently; work in environments with mechanical parts, airborne particles, and temperature variations. Use protective equipment as required.
