Job summary

Phoenix Stamping Group is hiring a Production Supervisor to lead daily department operations across multiple US locations. You will oversee setup/changeover, monitor production, ensure quality compliance, and maintain ERP data, while guiding staff development and promoting lean practices.

The role requires supervising in a fast-paced metal stamping environment, lifting up to 50 lbs, and coordinating safety and training initiatives with a team-focused culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent professional experience.
• 3 years supervisory experience preferred.
• Previous manufacturing experience (metal stamping, fabrication or fasteners) required.
• Experience with standard shop tools and measurement instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot machinery.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Ability to use material handling equipment, including forklifts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• MS Office skills (Word/Excel/Outlook) required.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead set up and changeover activity on machinery.
• Monitor production activity and ensure adherence to standard work and quality specs.
• Audit compliance with standard work instructions and process control.
• Maintain and audit production information in the ERP system.
• Manage production documents and logs for accuracy and availability.
• Ensure production aligns with customer demand and inventory goals.
• Review unplanned scrap to identify root causes and countermeasures.
• Oversee development and evaluation of direct reports.
• Support Lean tools and visual factory implementations.
• Ensure safety, quality, and environmental policies are followed.
