Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, coach, and hold lamination and molding employees accountable for performance, quality, attendance, and safety.
  • Coordinate daily production activities, staffing, materials, equipment, priorities, and changeovers.
  • Monitor production output, equipment efficiency, downtime, scrap, material usage, and overall department performance.
  • Ensure equipment is properly operated, maintained, and set up for safe and efficient production.
  • Troubleshoot lamination, molding, equipment, and quality issues and coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, Materials, and Production as needed.
  • Ensure products meet company quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Enforce safety policies, PPE requirements, operating procedures, and housekeeping standards.
  • Communicate production status, quality concerns, equipment issues, staffing needs, and other department matters to management.
  • Identify and implement improvements to increase productivity, reduce waste and downtime, improve quality, and maximize equipment utilization.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:

Responsible for leading the daily operations of the Lamination and Molding departments to meet production schedules, quality standards, safety requirements, and customer specifications. WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment in the stone manufacturing industry may involve exposure to dust, noise, and various weather conditions. Personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toed boots may be required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Ability to lift and move heavy stone materials.
  • Stamina to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Dexterity and precision for operating machinery and handling stone products.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
