Our Client, an Automotive company, is looking for a Production Supervisor – Intermediate for their Warren, MI location.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate all activities to achieve business metrics and implement Client Production Way processes and initiatives.
- Ensure the production plan is met; analyze issues with other roles, drive and implement continuous improvement activities, and sustain solutions within the zone.
- Lead a safe workplace by promoting safety improvements and enforcing safety procedures and tools.
- Understand losses during shifts, utilize the C-Matrix to coordinate activities, and improve zone performance.
- Analyze quality KPIs proactively, prioritize quality issues, and guide Team Leaders accordingly.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to work any shift and overtime as needed.
- Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interface across all levels of the plant, from hourly employees to senior leadership.
- Ability to build effective relationships with plant leadership and customers.
- Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented leader with team management skills.
- Ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a high-volume environment.
- Experience in coaching, mentoring, and developing teams.
- Previous experience in a unionized environment.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement systems and lean manufacturing.
- Working knowledge of Google Suite.
Onsite Manufacturing Physical Requirements:
- Work in hot and cold environments.
- Operate around heavy equipment and machinery.
- Wear safety gear such as glasses, sleeves, earplugs, and steel-toed shoes.
- Stand or walk for extended periods.
- Bend, stoop, reach, and lift up to 40 pounds.
- Work in confined spaces.
- Climb ladders, operate lifts, or crawl under vehicles as needed.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
