Production Supervisor in Aerospace Industry - 1st shift (Bloomington, MN) (Finance)

Consolidated Precision Products (CPP) is seeking 1st and 2nd shift Production Supervisors to join our leadership team. The Supervisor will work closely with Engineers, Maintenance Technicians, and other departments to ensure a safe work environment, maximize productivity at minimal cost, and support hourly production team members in meeting productivity and quality objectives.

What will you do?

  1. Operate as a business owner demonstrating metrics-based management in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
  2. Ensure effective employee relations, coaching, and development.
  3. Create a positive culture focused on metrics and advancing the business unit through team participation and ownership of projects.
  4. Drive a culture of safety, utilizing stand-up meetings, safety talks, and communication to set expectations and accountability.
  5. Own quality, productivity, cost, and morale to achieve positive results.
  6. Onboard and train new team members; develop Leads to facilitate company goals.
  7. Conduct performance management and annual reviews.
  8. Implement company policies with employee buy-in.
  9. Develop and execute corrective actions.
  10. Understand and communicate customer quality specifications.
  11. Partner with Engineering & Quality for product and policy needs, and support improvements.
  12. Manage preventive maintenance and resolve daily maintenance issues.
  13. Oversee inventory and supplies within budget, maintaining appropriate levels.
  14. Utilize LEAN management principles.
  15. Hold formal meetings for continuous improvement and cost-saving projects.
  16. Maintain 5S standards within the area.
  17. Operate effectively in a metrics-driven environment, focusing on delivery, cost, throughput.
  18. Foster a positive attitude and culture around metrics.
  19. Participate in scrap and rework reduction efforts.

What makes a successful candidate?

  1. 8+ years supervisory experience in manufacturing, preferably in aerospace or heavy manufacturing.
  2. Bachelor's degree (preferred).
  3. Experience with scheduling within departments or work cells.
  4. Proficient in MS Office.
  5. Ability to multi-task and communicate effectively.
  6. Strong safety focus.
  7. Proficient with Lean Management techniques (C.I., 6S, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke).
