Job summary

Signode Industrial Group in Monroe, LA is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations, ensuring timely production, quality, and safety. The role requires guiding teams, maintaining processes, and coordinating with maintenance and engineering.

The successful candidate will have at least 3 years in manufacturing with 2 years in supervision, strong math skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily manufacturing operations to meet production targets.

• Enforce and promote Signode safety regulations and procedures.
• Coordinate daily with Plant/Operations Manager on production.
• Analyze data and draw actionable insights.
• Collaborate with production planning to create schedules and timelines.
• Address production issues in real time and implement corrective actions with maintenance and engineering as needed.
• Maintain records of production activities, quality control measures, and incidents; ensure documentation compliance.

Salary

The annual salary for this position ranges from $61,000- $74,000 and varies based on specific responsibilities and geographic location. Starting hourly rate within this range will be determined based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and/or skillset.

Summary

A Production Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating the activities of production personnel to ensure efficient and timely production of goods. They are tasked with maintaining quality standards, optimizing processes, and ensuring a safe working environment.

Essential Functions

• Supervise and coordinate daily manufacturing operations to meet production targets.
• Ensure adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols.
• Lead and motivate production teams, providing guidance and support. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Enforce and promote Signode safety regulations and procedures.
• Coordinates daily with the Plant and/or Operations Manager on production.
• Analyze data and draw actionable insights.
• Maintain correct procedures and following specified guidelines.
• Collaborate with the production planning team to create schedules and timelines.
• Address production issues in real-time, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions. Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of production activities, quality control measures, and any incidents. Ensure compliance with documentation requirements.
• Maintaining work area in a clean and orderly manner.
• Provide guidance, training, and support for a skilled and motivated workforce.
• Effectively communicate production goals, targets, and expectations to the team.
• Supervision of production associates including performance reviews, onboarding, discipline, and terminations.

Qualifications

Education

Highschool Degree or Equivalent Experience preferred

Experience

3 years' manufacturing experience with minimum 2 years of supervision in a manufacturing environment. Strong mathematical skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
