Job summary

Vitro is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead operations at the Crestline, OH plant. The role focuses on directing manufacturing activities, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency, and guiding a team through daily production goals.

Ideal candidates will have strong leadership and communication skills, 3+ years of supervision experience in manufacturing, and the ability to manage 12-hour shift rotations including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Strong people leadership and communication skills in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
• Experience supervising teams and shift scheduling.
• Experience with 5S and safety, quality and production policies.
• Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily pre-shift briefings and communicate important details to the team.
• Ensure team members are trained and have resources to perform their work.
• Uphold safety, quality, and production policies and procedures.
• Audit production areas for 5S compliance and process improvements.
• Record payroll, time-off approvals, and payroll communications accurately.
• Conduct training assessments and entry of work orders to inventory system.
• Explain the why behind daily operations to staff.
• Support team to meet hourly goals and performance metrics.
