Job summary

Compass Group USA's Chartwells K12 unit in Indianapolis is hiring a full-time Production Supervisor to oversee food production and quality control in the kitchen, with shift from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm at Pike Township MSD. The role requires prior inventory experience and a ServSafe manager certification.

You will lead line staff, maintain proper storage, and assure safe handling and presentation of meals for school diners.

Qualifications

• Prior inventory experience is required.
• ServSafe Manager Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and oversees food production in the kitchen.
• Assigns duties to associates for efficient operation.
• Ensures proper storage, handling, and portion control.
• Maintains cleanliness of all kitchen areas and reports equipment issues.
• Supervises team members in absence of Sous Chef; trains and schedules staff.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Summary: Responsible for setting up and maintaining food production and quality control of food items prepared in the kitchen.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepares food items necessary for assigned area.
• Assigns specific duties to associates under supervision for efficient operation of the kitchen.
• Ensures proper storage and handling of products; uses portion, presentation and recipe controls.
• Maintains cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including food and non-food working areas.
• Reports equipment repair/maintenance to appropriate supervisor or facility department.
• Supervises team members in absence of Sous Chef; disciplines, trains and schedules associates.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
