Job Description

Position: 2nd Shift Production Supervisor
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 2:00 PM - 11:30 PM, with occasional Saturdays as needed



POSITION SUMMARY


Coordinate the activities of departmental personnel to include safety observations, daily work assignments, training, etc. Must perform and/or coordinate the training of employees on equipment and quality measurement devices, in addition to inspecting product, machinery, and department personnel to maintain organizational and customer standards. Position will communicate closely with other production supervisors to ensure smooth shift changes and will complete and deliver performance evaluations in a timely manner. Position will be responsible for the maintaining of our lean manufacturing and 3D/5S standards. This position is a hands-on opportunity requiring extensive time spent on the production floor.



RESPONSIBILITIES


Directly supervises production employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations' policies and applicable laws.



  • Responsible for daily production results, which include meeting expectations for quality and safety.

  • Responsible for manning assignments for each shift, which varies per part orders and line scheduled

  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully

  • Pursues training and development opportunities; shares expertise with others

  • Focuses on solving conflict, not blaming; remains open to others' ideas and tries new things

  • Balances team and individual responsibilities; exhibits objectivity and openness to others' views; gives and welcomes feedback; able to build morale and group commitments to goals and objectives

Education



  • High school diploma or equivalent.


Experience



  • 3 to 5 years manufacturing experience with demonstrated leadership skills required
