Job summary

Simmons Foods is seeking a Production Supervisor in the United States (Missouri). You will lead an assigned production team, ensure safety, quality, and efficiency in processing, packaging, and storage, and drive continuous improvement across operations.

The role requires strong leadership, knowledge of LEAN concepts, and familiarity with QA, FDA/USDA guidelines; you will coordinate with other departments, manage schedules, and maintain records in a collaborative, safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4 years related work experience with a minimum of 1 year in a leading role included in the 4 years related work experience.
• Must be able to read and write English.
• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
• Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resource management, leadership technique, production methods and coordination of people and resources.

Responsibilities

• Leads a team of front-line employees.
• Effectively communicates with and motivates employees to drive productivity and achieve goals.
• Supervises employees to maintain discipline, teamwork, and safety so daily production requirements are met.
• Schedules, tracks attendance, and approves time off for their direct reports.
• Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in processing or development of a product or service.
• Maintains inventory records and requisitions ingredients or supplies as necessary.
• Interprets and manages production reports (throughput, yield, etc.).
• Ensures production requirements with appropriate line speeds and quality.
