Send Cut Send Inc. is seeking a Production Shift Supervisor to lead all shift operations, including pre/post-production, quality control, and shipping, ensuring timely fulfillment of orders.

You will mentor staff, manage daily production plans, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to maintain safe, efficient operations on the factory floor in Reno, NV. Prior supervisory experience in manufacturing is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all production operations during the assigned shift, including production, post-production, quality control, and shipping.
• Prioritize and organize daily production, guide staff, and address bottlenecks to meet timelines.
• Ensure departments produce and ship parts meeting quality guidelines while maintaining safe operations.
• Support training, coaching, and development of staff members.
• Maintain shift transitions with regular huddles and clear communication with staff.
• Coordinate with Customer Support and Preflight teams regarding problematic orders and propose solutions.
• Maintain a safe, organized production floor and perform end-of-shift duties as directed by the Operations Director.
• Address personnel concerns and administer corrective action in partnership with leadership.

As the Production Shift Supervisor, you will oversee all shift operations including pre production, post-production, quality control, and shipping. You will also ensure consistent communication with departmental shift leads and staff throughout the shift.

What you'll do

• Oversee all production operations during your assigned shift, including production, post-production, quality control, and shipping
• Prioritize and organize daily production, provide guidance to staff, and address bottlenecks by redistributing labor to ensure timelines are met and orders are completed on time.
• Ensure all departments produce and ship parts that meet company quality guidelines while maintaining an organized, efficient, and safe operation.
• Support training, coaching, and development of staff members.
• Maintain smooth shift transitions by conducting regular shift huddles to ensure clear and consistent communication with staff.
• Communicate with Customer Support and Preflight teams regarding problematic orders and offer solutions to resolve issues.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient production floor
• Perform end of shift duties as directed by the Operations Director.
• Address personnel concerns and administer corrective action when necessary in partnership with leadership
• Complete any additional tasks as set forth by the Operations Director.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and hold teams accountable
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Clear and effective communication skills with all levels of management
• Ability to prioritize and execute in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
• Experience handling personnel issues and administering corrective action

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in sheet metal fabrication or CNC manufacturing
• Experience leading multi-department production teams
• Familiarity with production tracking systems or workflow management tools
• Experience driving process improvements or efficiency initiatives

Essential Physical Requirements

• Ability to repeatedly lift 25 lbs and lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand and walk for 10 to 12 hour shifts
• Ability to bend, reach, and work around large industrial equipment

Work Environment

• Manufacturing and production floor environment
• Work performed around CNC lasers, press brakes, and material handling equipment
• Exposure to noise, moving machinery, and metal materials
• Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
