Supervises hourly employees in a manufacturing environment, plans and assigns work, and implements policies and procedures. Improves working conditions (safety, quality, productivity, and cost) and increases subordinates’ skills and capabilities. Assists the Shift Superintendent in improving production, standard operating procedures, safety, quality control, employee relations, and performance management.
Work is performed in manufacturing (80%) and office (20%) environments, with noise levels usually loud to moderate. Must be able to stand, walk, handle objects, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, and lift at least 75 lbs. Standard 8-hour shifts, with longer hours as needed.
