Job summary

Brodart Co. in Williamsport, PA, is seeking a First/Mid Level Official/Manager in Production to develop, staff, coordinate and support production processes. The role focuses on achieving high efficiency and cost controls, while aligning with customer-driven requirements.

The candidate will implement KPI systems, lead training, supervise staff, ensure resources, and drive continuous improvement in a production environment. 2-year degree with 3+ years of supervisory experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Two year degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Technical discipline with knowledge or skill in production procedures and processes.
• Manufacturing experience desired.
• At least 3+ years of production management and supervisory experience.
• Effective communication with employees at all levels and strong supervisory skills.
• This position is subject to additional hours based on production needs.
• Process driven, utilize and analyze data to evaluate, improve processes and present to management as required.
• Provide vision to subordinates that are consistent with strategic initiatives to improve processes and grow the business.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products.
• Ability to work under the pressure of deadlines and prioritized work assignments.
• Must be able to work in a production environment that may be subject to varied temperatures and other conditions, such as noise, dust and glue or adhesives.
• Required to float throughout the work area and move from zone to zone as workload requires.

Responsibilities

• Implement systems, procedures, develop / monitor KPI’s and methodologies for ensuring maximum through-put and efficient use of resources.
• Respond to questions regarding daily work procedures, provide training and assign work to maximize production output.
• Supervise and coach employees to achieve production results and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
• Procure and ensure availability of resources and supplies.
• Maintain quality by enforcing organizational standards.
• Process components and perform production tasks to complete orders.
• Work with team to improve processes and increase efficiencies.
• Communicate problems and present solutions to promote knowledge flow on service issues.
• Participate in cross functional teams to manage productivity, efficiency and quality standards.
• Perform production planning to manage backlogs and manpower efficiently.
• Utilize time keeping systems and attendance reporting.
• Maintain positive department attitude and alignment with company goals.
• Directly and indirectly supervise employees and uphold supervisory responsibilities.
