True North Consultants, Inc. in Bluffton, OH is seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor for the Day Shift to lead a team of up to 15, reporting to the General Manager.

You will ensure daily production, safety, quality, and on-time delivery on a Monday–Friday schedule in a growing, customer-facing environment. The role emphasizes mentoring staff, 5S/continuous improvement, ERP coordination, and collaboration with sales.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED with at least two years of production supervision experience.
• Experience overseeing others in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment.
• Experience supervising at least 10 people at a time.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to drive a forklift when needed.
• Microsoft Office with basic Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedule daily production and monitor shop floor projects.
• Train, coach, mentor, and evaluate hourly workforce.
• Ensure shift safety, quality, and delivery goals are met.
• Maintain inventory on-site for scheduled projects and monitor WIP.
• Collaborate with sales on quoting new business.

• Enter information into the ERP system.
• Coordinate with quality for final inspections.
• Foster continuous improvement and scrap reduction (5S, cost savings).

A profitable company with a diverse customer base is hiring a Day Shift Production Supervisor to lead a specific area of their operations! This is a day shift position that works Monday-Friday, overseeing up to 15 people, and will report to the General Manager. Daily you will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Scheduling daily production and monitoring projects on the shop floor
• Training, coaching, mentoring, and evaluating the hourly workforce
• Ensuring shift safety, quality, and delivery goals are met
• Maintaining current inventory, ensuring inventory is on-site for scheduled projects, and monitoring work in process
• Working with sales on quoting new business
• Reviewing and confirming shift paperwork and production numbers
• Communicating with customers on the status of projects
• Entering information into the company ERP system
• Working closely with quality to complete final inspection of projects
• Fostering an environment focused on continuous improvement and scrap reduction, including 5S, scrap reductions, cost savings, etc.
• Driving a forklift as needed to support floor activity
• Confirming timesheets, vacations, and time off within the timekeeping system
• Other duties as directed by management

This is a hands-on position that requires qualified candidates to be on the production floor up to 80% of their day. Candidates should enjoy leading others and holding people accountable, have attention to detail, work well within a team environment and have excellent communication skills. Strengths should include being able to build rapport with your staff and improving staff morale. You will communicate regularly with customers on the status of projects. REQUIREMENTS for the Production Supervisor:

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED with at least two years of production supervision experience
• Experience overseeing others in a manufacturing and/or distribution environments
• Experience overseeing at least 10 people at a time
• Mechanical aptitude
• Willing to drive a forklift on an as needed basis
• Microsoft Office experience, including BASIC Excel skills

Skills preferred but NOT required:

• Production scheduling experience
• ERP experience
• Low volume, high mix experience
• Non-union supervision
