Job description

Leggett & Platt, Incorporated is seeking to hire an Evening/Night Shift Supervisor (Coach)to lead production activities at our Spring plant in Monroe, Georgia. This position will work E shift on a 10 hour, four day schedule with 3 day weekends every week. (Occasionally some Friday’s will be needed) We are looking to hire a Production Department Supervisor with proven experience in manufacturing and the ability to coach and develop a successful team.

What you’ll do

  • Lead production employees to ensure job duties are performed safely and effectively
  • Conduct safety meetings
  • Complete reporting and scheduling duties
  • Ensure safety, environmental and quality compliance
  • Facilitate open communication to keep production efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate attendance and payroll records.
  • Responsible for developing a strong team environment
  • Manage turnover
  • Ensure quality to minimize scrap and rework
  • Initiate corrective and preventive action when necessary
  • Identify, record and report problems relating to the product, process and quality
  • 2-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work with diverse workforce in both an office and manufacturing environment
  • Must be detail oriented and well organized
  • Possess the ability to motivate others and cultivate teamwork
  • Ability to multitask
  • Experience with Safety, Quality Systems and Continuous Improvement preferred
  • Previous supervisory experience
