Northern Gear & Machining is seeking an experienced 2nd Shift Production Machining Supervisor to lead a shift of operators and ensure adherence to processes, safety policies, and quality standards. This working supervisor role requires strong machining knowledge and leadership to drive results in a fast-paced environment.

The position oversees downtime management, training of new hires, and end-of-shift production reviews, with a focus on maintaining efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Machining knowledge required.
• Minimum 5 years of CNC Mill and Lathe experience.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to drive results.

Responsibilities

• During your shift, instruct operators to notify you of downtime and approve or move them to another machine.
• Communicate all absences to HR/Plant Operations Manager.
• Maintain posted production rates.
• Evaluate/train all new hires and make recommendations.
• Review and approve employee production at end of shift.
• Oversee all material produced on the shift.

2nd Shift position

Schedule:

• 8-hour shift.
• Monday to Friday.
• Night shift.
• Overtime available

Overview:

Northern Gear & Machining is seeking an experienced 2nd Shift Production Machining Supervisor to collaborate with a team dedicated to the success of our customers. This individual will be responsible and accountable for the employees during the shift, while operating various machines as needed. They will ensure employees follow all processes, procedures, and safety/work policies that we have in place. This is a working supervisor position. Bilingual in English / Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Machining knowledge (required).
