Job Description

Primary Function of Position

This role leads a production operations team to achieve performance goals, including build plan targets and KPIs, and to drive continuous improvement initiatives. The supervisor manages direct reports, supporting their career development and ensuring adherence to guidelines.

Essential Job Duties

  1. Hire, train, develop, and motivate production personnel to meet quality, schedule, and productivity standards.
  2. Achieve weekly and quarterly production goals per SIOP.
  3. Monitor team performance in hours tracking, safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency; take corrective actions as needed.
  4. Ensure procedural compliance with MPIs, WIs, SOPs, etc.
  5. Manage production KPIs, analyze trends, and implement improvements.
  6. Plan and report on production performance metrics such as output, yields, and efficiencies.
  7. Manage capacity planning and escalate gaps.
  8. Address line support issues, including technical challenges.
  9. Identify and resolve barriers affecting production.
  10. Apply anatomical knowledge and product understanding to address challenges.
  11. Collaborate with support departments to resolve issues and participate in quality initiatives.
  12. Recognize team strengths, leverage opportunities, and reward outstanding performance.
  13. Handle conflicts appropriately and escalate when necessary.
  14. Promote responsibility and quick decision-making.
  15. Communicate project and task rationale effectively to the team.
  16. Lead cross-functional projects, set goals, and facilitate meetings.
  17. Ensure team training is current and effective.
  18. Document and report variances, problems, and concerns.
  19. Provide performance feedback and conduct annual reviews.
  20. Enforce adherence to DOPs and SOPs of the Quality System.
  21. Implement safety policies and develop safety initiatives.
  22. Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives and outsourcing projects.
  23. Review and disposition discrepant materials; implement corrective actions.
  24. Drive process improvements to reduce scrap and control material usage.
  25. Support corporate culture and quality improvements.
  26. Assist engineering with manufacturing reviews.
  27. Ensure completion of training for supervised associates.
  28. Complete payroll activities for direct reports.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years combined manufacturing and warehouse experience.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Focus on continuous improvement.
  • Proficient with computers, including MS Office, SAP, MRP systems, and Agile.
  • Strong communication skills, policy enforcement, and team leadership.

Required Education and Training

  • High school diploma or equivalent minimum.

Working Conditions

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Perform quality checks independently and with team members.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 3+ years supervisory experience.
  • Experience managing teams of 20+ employees.
  • Experience in the medical device or regulated industry preferred.
  • Warehouse and manufacturing experience of 5+ years.
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma projects.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • Proactive, can-do attitude.

Our compensation packages are market-competitive, including base pay, incentives, benefits, and equity. Salary ranges depend on experience and qualifications.

Base Salary Range Region 1: $87,700 - $126,300 USD
Base Salary Range Region 2: $74,600 - $107,400 USD
