Production Supervisor at CCL Label Food and Beverage

To provide leadership to the production department and ensure day-to-day operations are completed as instructed. To ensure consistent operation of all equipment and processes and ensure the delivery of consistent services and products meet customer expectations.

Job Requirements
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  1. Direct Reports: 10-15 employees
  2. Effectively leading team to meet business goals
  3. Creating and managing team schedules
  4. Managing workflow of the department and delegating tasks
  5. Training of team members to ensure job duties are performed efficiently and effectively
  6. Evaluating performance and providing feedback on an ongoing basis
  7. Resolving employee issues and disputes
  8. Prepare and enforce corrective actions
  9. Maintain plant standards to ensure BRCGS and cGMP requirements are met
  10. Enforcing compliance with company policies
Duties/Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain a safe, injury/accident-free workplace and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations
  2. Ensure proper staffing to complete jobs as designated
  3. Responsible for direct supervision of designated staff and ensure proper training is completed by employees
  4. Initiate appropriate actions for maintaining a safe and clean working environment
  5. Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental procedures and regulations
  6. Identify process improvement opportunities and implement necessary changes to positively impact production
  7. Communicate job expectations, provide training, guidance, and coaching in a constructive and consistent manner
  8. Ensure that all incidents are investigated and reported in a timely manner, determining root cause analysis and preventative measures and ensure that employees are using the proper PPE when completing a task
  9. Manage and address employee conduct or performance issues by investigating the issue and identifying the root causes. Seeking advice from HR and upper management as needed
  10. Participate in production meetings and identify corrective actions as needed
  11. Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
  12. Perform all other duties as assigned by management

  3. Minimum 5 years’ experience in management/supervisory role
Physical Requirements:
  1. Regularly use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms above and below shoulder level
  2. Regularly stand and walk for extended periods of time
  3. Regularly communicate in some manner either by speech/hearing or through written communication
  4. Regularly use vision abilities including close, distance, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
  5. Regularly work around moving machinery and heavy equipment
  6. Frequently required to push/pull
  7. Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  8. Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  9. Frequently exposed to high-speed moving mechanical parts
  10. Frequently exposed to UV, strobing or flashing light
  11. Occasionally exposed to fumes, dust or airborne particles
  12. Regularly exposed to moderate noise level in the work environment
