Job summary

POM Wonderful is seeking a Production Supervisor for Arils on the 2nd Shift. This role will lead a production team across juice, arils processing, and sanitation, guiding daily operations to meet targets while upholding safety and quality standards.

You'll collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, and Logistics, implement SOPs, monitor equipment, manage inventory, and drive continuous improvement and data-driven decisions. Strong leadership and lean manufacturing knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years progressively responsible production experience in a supervisory capacity.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team of production workers, offering guidance, training, and performance feedback, including corrective action conversations, to insure a safe working environment.
  • Strategically plan, coordinate, and oversee daily production activities to meet targets and deadlines, including adherence to established production centerlines.
  • Foster collaboration with quality control, maintenance, and logistics to ensure seamless production operations.
  • Enforce and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for Arils manufacturing processes, ensuring uniformity and adherence to quality standards.
  • Monitor and uphold equipment functionality, initiating maintenance or repairs as necessary.
  • Manage inventory levels of raw materials and packaging supplies to guarantee uninterrupted production.
  • Ensure strict health and safety compliance, cultivating a safety-aware culture within the production team.
  • Observe and enforce GMPs and Food safety programs and attend required training.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and increased efficiency.
  • Maintain production records and reports for upper management review and data-driven decisions.
  • Manage the Arils facility FMDS board and conduct daily meetings.
  • Collaborate with sanitation lead to identify key cleaning areas and enhance sanitation procedures.
  • Assess required workforce and develop a labor model aligned with production requirements.

Production Supervisor - Arils **2nd Shift

JOB SUMMARY:

The Production Supervisor will be trained and assigned on a rotational schedule to support and lead key operational areas Juice processing, Arils processing and Sanitation. Working across these functions, the supervisor will collaborate with Quality, and Maintenance teams to validate Standard Work Sequences (SWS), drive improvements in Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), prevent over-production, and uphold high standards of product integrity, safety and cleanliness. During peak season, this role will serve as a pivotal leader, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence and cross-department collaboration.

Compensation - $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 w/ Up to 5% bonus potential. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.

  • Monitor and uphold the functionality of equipment, proactively initiating maintenance or repairs as necessary
  • Effectively manage inventory levels of raw materials and packaging supplies to guarantee uninterrupted production.
  • Ensure strict compliance with health and safety regulations, cultivating a safety-aware culture within the production team, along with collaborating with Quality control team to ensure the production of high-quality products.
  • Observes and enforces safety, GMPs, and Food safety programs and attends appropriate training sessions.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and increased efficiency in the production process.
  • Maintain precise production records and reports for review of upper management review regarding comprehensive performance tracking and data-driven decision-making.
  • Manage the Arils facility FMDS (floor management development systems) board and conduct daily meetings.
  • Collaborate with the sanitation lead to identify key cleaning areas and implement enhancements to sanitation procedures.
  • Assess required workforce and develop a labor model aligned with production requirements.
  • Ability to see the "big picture" business perspective but is willing to "roll up their sleeves" and do whatever it takes to get the job done.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

At least 2-4 years progressively responsible Production experience in a supervisory capacity, with a specific emphasis in manufacturing preferably within a production/manufacturing setting. Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
