Job summary

Link Snacks in Wisconsin is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a team of production workers, ensuring on-time manufacturing of high-quality products while meeting safety and cost goals.

The role requires staffing, training, performance reviews, and enforcing GMP, HACCP and SQF programs, with weekend nights Friday-Sunday 6 p.m.–6 a.m. Benefits include medical, dental and vision, 401k, and paid time off.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience and 1+ years Lead experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Able to organize and prioritize in a multi-tasking environment.

Responsibilities

  • Staffing and interviewing to maintain proper headcount.
  • Implement and monitor training plans and required training.
  • Direct daily activities to meet safety, quality, productivity and cost goals.
  • Evaluate performance, conduct reviews, address conflicts and approve timekeeping.
  • Ensure quality products and adherence to productivity and cost standards.
  • Handle production paperwork, receiving and inventory control with accuracy.
  • Communicate effectively with peers, subordinates and leaders.
  • Resolve day-to-day operational and people issues.
  • Implement process improvements within area.
  • Develop team members and team leads.
  • Understand FIFO concepts for perishable products and ensure implementation.
  • Reinforce GMPs, food safety and quality standards; ensure compliance.

Job description

Supervises a team of Production Workers and their daily activities to ensure the needs of all functions within the area are met (production, training, safety, security and housekeeping). Provides leadership/direction to the team and ensures that all the procedures for food safety and manufacturing high quality products are achieved. This position works a weekend nights schedule. Generally Friday - Sunday 6 p.m. - 6 a.m.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for ensuring proper staffing is maintained, including interviewing and hiring new team members
  • Implement and monitor training plans, ensure compliance required training
  • Directs daily activities to meet safety, quality, productivity and cost goals
  • Evaluate team members work performance, conduct appropriate reviews for team members, address complaints and resolve conflicts, reward and discipline accordingly, and approve timekeeping
  • Provides direction to team members to ensure quality products, and adherence to productivity goals and cost standards
  • Perform production paperwork, receiving and inventory control procedures with complete accuracy
  • Communicate effectively with peers, subordinates and leaders in an effective, timely manner
  • Resolves day-to-day operational and people issues
  • Implements process improvements within area
  • Develop team members and team leads
  • Area-level decisions impacting people and production
  • Understand the concepts of FIFO (First-in-First-Out) on perishable products and ensure successful implementation of FIFO throughout the operations within the facility
  • Models and reinforce GMP's, food safety and quality standards; accountable for assigned area and ensure compliance
  • Support and successful implementation of SQF (Safe, Quality Foods) within the facility
  • Complete and review all Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), and Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOP) requirements and paperwork. This includes but not limited to Pre-Operational Inspection, Operational Inspections, Pre-Shipment Review, and Corrective Actions
  • Immediately report all accidents and deficiencies to management; complete accident investigations and report within 24 hours of incident
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing and 1+ years Lead experience
  • Proficient in internet navigation, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Able to organize and prioritize in a multi-tasking environment
  • Accuracy and attention to detail

The hiring range for this $75k-$85k annually Actual wages will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, and candidate skill set and experience. Base pay is just one component of Link Snacks Total Rewards package for Team Members. Other rewards may include annual incentive and program-specific awards. The work environment is a plant / office setting with varying degrees of temperatures and noise levels. Exposure to manufacturing equipment movement and wet / slippery floors. Travel may be required.
