Position Overview

Responsible for directing shift production operations, including monitoring formulas, assigning tasks, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. Must demonstrate competency in all activities affecting product safety, legality, and quality.

Key Responsibilities

1. Instruct and oversee production technicians and outsourced labor on equipment operation and safety.
2. Review records to ensure efficient use of time and materials; perform quality inspections.
3. Maintain equipment in optimal condition.
4. Promote positive employee relations and effective communication.
5. Ensure a safe work environment through policy enforcement and safety meetings.
6. Plan and adjust work assignments to meet production needs.
7. Operate facility metal detectors if certified.
8. Ensure compliance with work rules and assist in employee training.
9. Participate in disciplinary processes as needed.
10. Maintain cleanliness and adherence to company policies including EEO, Safety, and Sarbanes Oxley.
11. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Preferred Qualifications

At least two years of experience in plant production.
