Qualifications

The Production Shift Supervisor manages and coordinates safety, production, sustainability, and quality standards. Provides leadership and management to the departments on individual shifts to achieve company’s core strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Enforce safety requirements, conduct safety observations, and look for improvements.
• Serve as technical resource for assigned work areas.
• Support process flow issues promptly.
• Participate in meetings on quality, safety, performance, staffing, art, shipping, and scheduling.
• Resolve conflicts with direct reports and escalate when necessary.
• Work with Production Manager to align departmental initiatives with plant goals.
• Suggest ideas to expedite orders and resolve issues.
• Conduct annual performance evaluations.
• Communicate concerns during shift changes.
• Approve jobs and items per Quality Management System and coordinate with customers.
• Coordinate technical training for the team.
• Provide constructive feedback and develop team members.
• Manage staffing issues daily.
• Communicate with other departments and supervisors.
• Cross-train to cover vacations and weekends.
• Educate teams on daily Plan vs. Actual metrics.
• Verify time and attendance using the Dayforce system.

Qualifications:

• Minimum two-year certificate in Management or related field preferred or equivalent work experience.
• At least two years of progressive supervisory experience, preferably in LEAN manufacturing.
