Job summary

Rain Bird Corporation is seeking a Production Supervisor for the 3rd shift (11:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.). You will lead the floor, set priorities, and develop production and support personnel to maintain a safe, productive operation.

You will coordinate with maintenance, quality, engineering, and other support functions to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals while driving timely responses to production issues and ensuring effective handoffs at shift end.

Qualifications

• BS or BA degree in business or technical discipline.
• 3+ years’ manufacturing supervision experience.
• Experience with 5S, Lean tools, and structured problem solving.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, and team‑development skills.
• Ability to work 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., Monday night through Friday night.

Responsibilities

• Lead the production team on the floor, set shift priorities, assign resources, and maintain accountability for safe and productive execution
• Ensure and enforce plant safety regulations, regulatory controls, policies, and procedures
• Develop, train, coach, and manage the performance of production, technical, and support personnel
• Lead team stand‑up and accountability meetings; set expectations, review performance, assign follow-up actions, and own the shift’s results through end‑of‑shift handoff
• Drive rapid response to safety, quality, equipment, scrap, and downtime issues through structured problem solving
• Monitor shift performance and take action to meet safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, scrap, and uptime goals
• Coordinate with maintenance, quality, engineering, materials, and other support departments to resolve production issues
• Ensure accurate shift handoff and timely communication of staffing, production, quality, maintenance, and material needs
• Complete required people administration, including attendance, timecards, payroll issue escalation, and corrective action in accordance with Rain Bird policy

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate degree in business or technical discipline.
• Project Management experience in a seasonal business
• Ability to lead effectively in a dynamic, fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience with UKG and Oracle systems
