Job summary

igus Bearings, Inc. in Rumford, RI is seeking a Production Team Leader to oversee daily operations, drive safety, quality and delivery, and coach a team of production staff.

The role requires hands-on leadership, adherence to lean practices, and availability for overtime and weekend hours as needed. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve production issues, train staff, and uphold company policies.

Qualifications

• Five to seven years production team leader experience preferred.
• Knowledge and understanding of lean techniques required.
• Availability and willingness to work overtime and weekends when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership, direction and oversight to the Production Team to ensure safety, quality and delivery objectives are met.
• Assigns work to Team Leaders and Production Employees.
• Ensures safety procedures are followed on the floor to protect staff.
• Engages with team members, values diverse ideas and supports problem solving.
• Communicates daily issues to production manager as needed.
• Provides training to Team Leaders and Production Employees; documents HRIS approvals and training processen for new hires.
• Maintains 5S on the production floor daily.
• Works with Management to develop process improvements.
• Performs other assignments as directed.

Salary Range: $24.00 To $28.00 Hourly

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Responsible to oversee and assist Team Leaders and Production employees to ensure we meet organizational commitments regarding safety, quality and delivery. Works closely with other departments to determine, analyze and eliminate problems within the production environment. Responsible for ensuring that company policy and procedures are enforced and adhered to.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides leadership, direction and oversight to the Production Team to ensure company objectives are attained regarding Safety, Quality and Delivery.
• Assigns work assignments to the Team Leaders and Production Employees. .
• Ensures safety procedures are followed in order to promote personal safety and the safety of others.
• Practices strong engagement with direct reports and team members including accepting diversity of ideas and thoughts, sharing responsibility for success, demonstrating honesty and integrity, helping employees solve problems and showing respect.
• Communicates daily issues and pertinent information to production manager, as needed.
• Provides training to Team Leaders and Production Employees, as needed.
• Facilitate and document all training for new hires including 90 day and annual reviews.
• Manage team HRIS approvals Completes all necessary production paperwork.
• Ensures 5S duties are performed every day on the floor.
• Understands, supports and follows all company policies, practices and procedures.
• Works with Management team to develop process improvement opportunities.
• Performs other assignments as directed.
